Colours to a Blind Man
HB: I promised a plug for Dave & Sue Hooper's book Colours to a Blind Man. Helena Drysdale helped Dave & Sue with this, and the book is available now from Chipmunk Publishing, a specialist mental health publisher. It's a great book, and Chipmunk is a brave & worthy outfit. ... though you would have thought that £20 was a bit toppish for something like this. Amazon info on the book can be found here.

You can get it for £17 including postage from chipmunkapublishing.com
The price is higher than we wanted, but we were told that it couldn't be any cheaper as they had to cover their costs.
You can get the book direct from
chipmunkapublishing .co.uk for £17 including postage, which is a much better bet. It's getting good reviews so far.
You can now get the book direct from me for the cost price of £12 plus £3 p&p, a saving of £8 over Amazon and Waterstones etc.
We are not making a profit on the book, but we would like people to read it, as the book aims to de-stigmatise mental health problems.
We had a book launch at the end of November at the Derby Cathedral bookshop, which went very well.
Also, none other than Stephen Fry requested a copy of our book, which was very flattering.
Explaining colours to a blind man is now number 5 in Chipmunkas' best selling list.
The reviews we are getting are very encouraging. People are identifying with many of the problems in the book, learning about mental health problems, plus they have a good laugh in places.
I have been told, by complete strangers, that it's a page turner. That means the world to me.
